Exploring the Success of a Music Store's Growth Hacking Strategies

Discover how Worldofmusic.com.au has achieved success by leveraging the power of growth hacking strategies. From acoustic guitars to bass amps, find out how they has used growth hacking to grow their online business.

About

World of music is an iconic Australian retailer, stocking a massive range of musical instruments and accessories, as well as sheet music, DVDs and CDs, from all the major labels. With a strong emphasis on customer service, they have built a large and loyal customer base, particularly among seasoned musicians.

Challenge

While World of music had an awesome in-store experience, they wanted to capitalise in the online space. They had an ageing website which was not optimised for SEO or conversion, and they were not utilising digital marketing effectively. And while they had dabbled in PPC, they had no real strategy or ongoing management in place.

They engaged Hamma.digital to help them turn things around, with a view to increasing their online presence and boosting online sales.

Solution

We started with a comprehensive review of their website, their digital marketing efforts to date, and their business goals. This allowed us to develop a detailed plan of attack, including an SEO roadmap and a PPC strategy.

Working closely with World of music's development team and designers, we identified short, medium and long-term goals and objectives (and what we needed to do to hit them). This resulted in a new website which was much more optimised for SEO and conversion, and a series of digital marketing campaigns designed to increase traffic and sales.

Outcome

Within 12 months, we had built a sustainable online presence for World of music, with high-converting pathways to revenue. In real dollar terms, we helped them 10X their online revenue.
